A similar reply probably got lost during the gnu.org outage, and I
forgot what I sent it to, so apologies in advance if this doesn't make
sense in context.
Since at least two people seem to be using the Motif port, and it has
some technical advantages over the others, and the other people seem to
be neutral on the subject, I'll restore Motif support to the emacs-28
branch in a day or so.
Please let me know if you see a problem with that, thanks.
