I suggested a vtable or tablist initially, and we agreed to tablist.
I don't have a strong preference, and I am familiar with both packages. We can 
revisit the decision.

The buffer list is an existing feature BTW. This is about changing it to a 
tablist. And while we are at it doing the same thing with the EWW bookmarks. 
Both are implemented using text with properties for actions.
