In *Buffer List*, mouse-2 on the header line sorts. mouse-1
does not have
this effect, even if mouse-1-click-follows-links is
non-nil. Header-line
links/buttons work with mouse-1 in Info, but not in Buffer List.
Is this a bug?
I am not sure. The header line is not a button, so maybe it should
not react to mouse-1.
There are buttons in the header line (to sort each column). This is similar
to the links in the header line of Info (though, in that case, they are
links, not action buttons).
Perhaps there should be a keyboard command to do the same sorting.
Good idea.
When Buffer-menu-use-header-line is nil, there is a keyboard command, I
believe (RET). But I don't think there are keyboard keybindings for sorting
otherwise. There would probably need to be different keys for sorting the
different columns - perhaps a prefix key followed by a letter for each
column?
