You can easily disable this with
(ad-disable-advice 'planner-edit-task-description 'around 'planner-timeclock)
to make Planner fit your workflow better.

I prefer to mark the original task as completed so that I see it on my
day page, creating a new task for my next action.
Would you like some help writing a function that picks up the current
task's description and makes it the default for a new task? You can
define your own version of planner-read-task. ^_^
