Hello,
I'm new to emms. I've been trying to get the CVS version to work, but
little luck yet.
I've come so far as to have emms-playlist-tree function to work, and
display the playlist.
I can't export the playlist into a file yet.
Anyhow, heres what I would like to do with emms:
- open and manipulate a rather large playlist, with aprox 22000 files.
Since it is large, I want to pre-generate it with a shellscript.
It would also be nice to pre-generate most of the meta info directly in
the playlist, so I wont have
to generate it on the fly all the time(and also have more meta than
id3v1 allows, like BPM info)
- make player interfaces to for example mixxx, gdam, beep-media-player,
or xmms.
-Ideally I could do hard editing of file names and info while playing,
for instance using a recursive dired buffer
and "wdired" (wdired allows you to change file names directly in the
dired buffer)
The idea is to use the power of emacs to select songs, with for instance
ido-mode and multiple buffers,
and play them with an external mixer capable of softmixing.
Also I discovered some very minor bugs so far, how should I contribute
fixes?
Regards,
/Joakim
