Dear Yajie Wei,

Do you use branch github.com/icimrak/python? The function set_rotation is implemented there, not in 4.0.1 release.

Concerning different viscosity, this feature is just being implemented. There are not enough tests done to claim that the feature works.

But it will definitely be available soon,

Ivan

Hi,

we want to count the rotation frequency of a RBC in the shear flow calling the function "rbc.set_rotation()". However, there is a attributeError appeared " 'OifCell' object has no attribute 'set_rotation'"(see in appendix). Could you tell me the reason?

In addtion, we want to increase the viscosity contrast  between viscosity of internal fluid and external fluid. Could you tell me how to set the parameter?

Best,

Yajie Wei

Hi,

In Espresso, you can use shapes as boundaries for the fluid. Moreover, you can prescribe the velocity on the surface of the boundaries. See the section
12.9. Using shapes as lattice Boltzmann boundary
in online ESPResSo documentation
http://espressomd.org/html/doc/lb.html

For Couette flow, you can set an upper and a lower rhomboid with the opposite velocities to create shear flow.

Best,
Ivan

Hi,

we want simulate a RBC moving in the shear flow using ESPResSo. However, the computation has failed owing to incorrect boundary condition.  Could anyone tell me how to set boundary condition in Couette/shear flow?

Many thanks
