I would recommend you to have nvidia hardware to try out FenPDF.
FenPDF depends of Fenfire which depends of other projects.
They are available at:
http://savannah.nongnu.org/projects/callgl/ dynamic OpenGL calls
http://savannah.nongnu.org/projects/libvob/ very good UI framework
http://savannah.nongnu.org/projects/storm/ storage module
http://savannah.nongnu.org/projects/alph/ xanadu
http://savannah.nongnu.org/projects/fenfire/ fenfire
http://savannah.nongnu.org/projects/navidoc/
help util to make documentatioan etc.
(http://savannah.nongnu.org/projects/glmosaictext/ is this still needed,
anyone? gl text rendering lib)
This is not enought, you need also at least:
libboost-dev
g++-3.3
java (I think that most of developers use 1.4.2)
...
Someone else needs to say how you can try out gzigzag.
