Yes, I just checked and there are just a few words about it at page 41.

No, the manual is quite poor, but we are first trying to fix important bugs 
and add some essential features ...

I think a good begining is redead the book of Brigitte Lucquin and Olivier 
Pironneau: "An introduction to scientific computing". It deals with many 
basic methods going from equations analysis to programmation of numerical 
solvers, while explaining standard numerical methods such as FEM or PCG.
