Looks okay to me, except that it also requires updating
import-gnulib.config to require 2007-08-11 or later rather than 2007-07-07.

The branch also uses xstrtol; but currently is locked on gnulib from Feb
2007; there are probably more updates required by jumping gnulib six
months forward.  Fortunately, in the past year, gnulib has been better
about tracking incompatible changes in its NEWS file, to make transitions
easier when upgrading that far forward.
