Hi,

I got around that problem by copying in the entire Zope Data.fs file from
one system to the other. Happy now - although still not sure why the FLE object
export/import didn't work.

Regards,
Cormac.

Subject: [Fle3-users] Exporting/Importing FLE Zope object: The object FLEdoes
not support this operation.

Hi,

I'm trying to move our Fle3 instance from one machine to another (moving
it to our eLearning server). However, I'm running into problems.

Using Zope I export the existing FLE object, copy it into the new server's
import directory (/usr/lib/zope/import) and import it using Zope on the
new server. However, I get the error message:
The object FLE does not support this operation.

I have tried exporting/importing using a XML file and a zexp file, both
give the same problem.

Both systems are running Fle3 1.5, Zope 2.6.4 ((source release, python
2.1, linux2), python 2.2.3, linux2) on Debian GNU/Linux 3.1, i.e.
identical setups.

I would appreciate it if anyone could shed light on this problem.

Also, I will be presenting at HEANet (Ireland) National Networking
conference next week, describing the experiences of eLearning at Athlone
Institute of Technology (using Moodle and Fle3). The presentation (in
DocBook slides format) is at:
http://elearning.ait.ie/papers/heanet_presentation_10112005/index.html
if anyone has any comments.

Regards,
Cormac.
