Did you type the raw commands quickly enough?

address@hidden:~]# ipmi-raw
0 0 0
rcvd: 00 00 01 20 20 20 20 20
0 0 0
rcvd: 00 00 01 20 20 20 20 20
0 0 0
rcvd: 00 00 01 20 20 20 20 20
^C

You should be able to specify multiple via the --file option in ipmi-raw.

Hi

The reason is to open only one session and to execute several  RAW commands in the same session.

I tried the command
# ipmi-raw
Read LUN, NETFN, command and request data from standard input.

But after a while, there is a timeout
ipmi_cmd_raw: session timeout

Hi Martine,

There is nothing specifically like ipmitool shell in FreeIPMI.  Our assumption was most would script against the FreeIPMI tools (ipmi-sensors, ipmi-raw, ipmi-sel, ipmi-fru, etc.) themselves.  Is there a specific reason a shell-like interface is needed?

Hi

I would like to know if there is an equivalence to  the  ipmitool shell command (for raw commands for instance)

Thanks in advance for your answer

Best Regards
