Corey,

Our Hemi Java software parses IPMI to a proprietary JSON format. If there was a JSON standard for FRU info or IPMI sensors we would support that.

If you find or develop a standard for JSON let me know so we can add it.

HI,

A few years ago I started a ruby gem called rubyipmi and its now being used by a few devops shops and big projects to control and gather information about their infrastructure.  I should have asked this way before I started it, but it would be awesome if freeipmi could support different output formats besides text.  Right now my code parses all the text into native ruby objects.  However, it would be killer to have support for JSON format.  Is this something that could be added?
