Its not required to change MAC address. SMDC card automatically takes MAC
address of associated ethernet card.

For flashing firmware in SMDC card, jumper should be in correct position,
otherwise flashing firmware fails. For your case, it seems you flashed it
successfully.

Its strange!
Could you tell me which motherboard you are using?

S2882 has 3 onboard network cards and Intel Pro100 card comes as eth0, 2
broadcom gigE cards come as eth1 and eth2.
S2881 has 2 onboard network cards and broadcom gigE cards come as eth0 and
eth1.
I haven't seen SMDC card appears as network interface. There is some
problem.

If you are using Tyan S2882/S2881 motherboard, upgrade to latest BIOS is
required.

Here is the link for latest bios:

Tyan S2882 Motherboard:
=======================
http://www.tyan.com/support/html/b_s2882.html

Tyan S2881 Motherboard:
=======================
http://www.tyan.com/support/html/b_s2881.html

Try with latest BIOS and let me know its working or not.

Thanks,

Best Regards
