Hey Olaf,
Here is a beta release
http://download.gluster.com/pub/freeipmi/qa-release/freeipmi-1.0.7.beta2.tar.gz
In it, ipmi-sensors has a new workaround option called 'assumebmcowner',
can you see if it works? Just specify:
ipmi-sensors -W assumebmcowner
(longer term, you can configure this workaround in /etc/freeipmi.conf so
you don't have to type it everytime. But for now ...)
Can you try it and let me know if the workaround works for you.
