Jeffrey,
It *should* just be "dot(A,B)", where A and B
are the two vector Fields. I have not tried
this with NewFields to verify, but I'm pretty
sure it has been tested with Array.

Subject: [pooma-dev] Dotting Two Vector Fields to Form a Scalar Field
The dot product of two vectors yields a scalar. What syntax do I use
to form the dot product of two Vector Field's to form a scalar Field?
The two operands and the result should have the same domain size.
Thanks for the information,
