Do you necessarily need to choose one over the other? It seems to me if you
replaced xml-ish assumptions in FreeBASE::Core#load_plugins with an
abstraction that handled different kinds of config file types, along with a
path through FreeBASE::Plugin#initialize that detected what kind of config
object plugin_element was, you could give developers the option of using
either XML or YAML for their plugin.
I'd be happy to work on a patch to do the above if such a thing is desirous.
