Documentation vs. RV vs. CVS? |

Freetype,
Pardon the naivete, but I can't seem to sort out what source code goes
with documentation, and what it implies I should use.
The beta8 source I have differs in a few fundamental ways, it seems,
from the tutorial posted on the site. Ie, num_grays vs. grays, and now
FT_Get_Glyph_Bitmap(). Furthermore, the CVS on SF has a last updated
date of 7 months ago (?).
Another small note--the insistence on using #include <freetype/..>
within the Freetype headers is a PITA when I want to have freetype1
and freetype2 coexist on my system.
Any enlightenment is appreciated.
