[Freetype] syntax-check for generated .pfb-files ? |

hello out there,
i´ve been trying out the ttf2pfb-converter and i think it works fine. but
now i have a problem: i tried to embed the generated fonts (pfb and pfa)
into a .ps-document. first i printed it to file and looked at it using
ghostscript. seemed to work. but when trying to print the document with
embedded font on a postscript printer, the printer produced an error-message
saying "invalid command" and then printing out the last about 25 characters
of the embedded font-description.
well, i thought, let it be an incorrect implementation on qt-site and tried
out the same with some adobe fonts. but with the adobe fonts, the printer
did not produce an error message.
an now my question: does anyone of you know about something like a pfb/pfa
syntax-checker or has any other idea what could cause this problem? at the
moment i do not know so much about fonts under X11 and about postscript but
i´m trying hard ;-)
TIA
