[Freetype] Bad truetype rendering?

Is someone able to tell me why freetype2 performs that

bad in this case? (newest versions)

 

Can someone reproduce this:

Look at the runlenght of the characters and the spaces

in between. The results of the upper one are really bad.

I don't know what's wrong, but that can't be normal.
