Hello,

  FreeType 2.1.0 was just released. This package contains only
  three small bug-fixes (including minor native TrueType rendering
  improvements), as well as the start of major re-working of the
  engine's internals described at:

    http://www.freetype.org/freetype2/redesign.html

  Of course, everything is binary-compatible with the 2.0.x branch
  as long as you only use the high-level public API
