[Freetype] FreeType 2 issue

Hi there,

I started with a little program wich should show TrueType fonts using both
svgalib and freetype2.

I encountered a problem. Whenever I try to show the bitmap on my screen with
the gl_putxbox function, I receive a segmentation fault.
Could you tell me how the final (grayscale) bitmap can be opened by writing
a function myself. Is it still the same format as used in freetype 1 ?
