Hi Werner!
Which FreeType version? We use libtool, and recent versions should work for cygwin too, AFAIK.
Freetype 2.1.10
But since I am using an old version of freetype, I'd like to know how to obtain a newer one.
Via Cygwin I get 2.1.9-1
There are two different libraries: The old FreeType 1 which is no longer maintained, and the new FreeType 2, with 2.1.10 as the current version. You can download it from freetype.org.
I didnt't find binaries there for cygwin, so I tried to compile them myself and there I fail: I can just build the static libraries but not the shared ones. I use configure - make.
How can I use libtool? Thanks a lot in advance, Dani
