Especially since Ethernet is a development of Aloha (packet radio system used in Hawaii, mostly for schools IIRC) with the main difference being that the radio broadcasts are, in the case of coax Ethernet, simply confined to the cable, and never broadcast via an aerial.
Calling a return to the previous generation of a technology "innovation" seems just a tad cheeky.
