Yes.  The plan is to fix some gcjwebplugin/Firefox crashes then release
the final version of gcjwebplugin.  At that point we're going to propose
merging gcjwebplugin and gcjappletviewer into GNU Classpath itself.

I just tried gcjappletviewer on the Hilos applet.  It does run but very
slowly.  I've filed a bug that I'll look into later:

Yes, when we've merged into GNU Classpath it should be much easier for
people like you to experiment.  Thanks for pointing us to
http://www.caligraft.com.  The applets there are excellent test cases,
especially since they're free software.
