[Gcl-devel] [axiom] Gcl and RedHat7.2

Camm,

Is it my fumbling or are there known difficulties with building GCL
on RedHat7.2 Linux?

It used to be that you needed to type (under AKCL):
  ./add-defs 386-linux
  make

now you need to type:
  ./add-defs 386-linux
  ./configure
  make

but that still leaves two known holes. 
  libmport.a and libgmp.a 
do not seem to be correctly built by the makefiles.
I had to add a stanza for each.
Is the build broken or am I missing something?
I'm using build gcl-2.4.1.tgz.
