To install GCL on Windows (including XP), follow these steps:

1. Download this file:

   ftp://ftp.gnu.org/pub/gnu/gcl/cvs/gcl_2.5.2.japi.20030321_mingw32.zip

2. Unzip it.

3. Run the resulting installation executable.
