CLISP can do ./configure --with-mingw and it will pass -mno-cygwin to
all gcc invocations.
I think the software should adapt to people, not vice versa.
Why should I install yet another unix compatibility tool just to
compile gcl?

Please do not consider this bitching.
You have no obligation to pander to my whims,
and I do not expect you to.

OTOH, if you want CLOCC/PORT to support GCL, you will need to place a
GCL/ansi at my disposal, either by providing me with a binary, or by
making sure that it builds in my environment (which, I bet, it not that
exotic :-)
(you can also just send me a patch, that would do too!)
