hi there,
i'm trying to build gcl-2.5.3 on a GNU/Linux machine. i get these errors
during the ./configure stage
creating ./config.status
creating makedefc
sed: file conftest.s1 line 10: Unterminated `s' command
creating windows/gcl.iss
sed: file conftest.s1 line 10: Unterminated `s' command
creating bin/gcl.bat
sed: can't read ./bin/gcl.bat.in: No such file or directory
sed: file conftest.s1 line 10: Unterminated `s' command
creating h/gclincl.h
makedefc
add-defs1 386-linux
using 386-linux.defs
and if i type make, i get this:
make[1]: Entering directory `/home/LFS/TODO/maxima/gcl-2.5.3/cmpnew'
../unixport/saved_gcl ../unixport/ -compile collectfn.lsp
make[1]: ../unixport/saved_gcl: Command not found
make[1]: *** [collectfn.o] Error 127
i installed tcl-8.4.3 in order to build gcl, but is it a requirement to
the build? (im guessing not since the configure script did not say
otherwise). can i build without tcl/tk? i have no need for them outside
of the gcl build, and i dont want to build any form of GUI for gcl.
cheers,
Sam
