Greetings, thanks, and please accept my apologies for not seeing this
sooner.  

I have to leave momentarily to attend a funeral out of state.  I
haven't had time to look at this in detail yet, but intend to when I
return.  (Sat. evening, hopefully).

Just another observation, the build failures happen when sgc is
initially on, then turned off momentarily when the gbc expands the
heap. You can see this by setting si::*notify-gbc* to t, as you
probably already know.

I don't expect this to be too difficult a fix.  I've already basically
confirmed that the t_contiguous -> t_other setting at system save is
apparently unnecessary.
