Sorry, I don't have much to say about the changes in 2.6.9, except for
one. For the first time in years (literally), I can build gcl on my
(ancient) OpenSuSE box again.
And it runs maxima just fine, except for one new failed test. But a
couple of tests on rounding of rationals to floats works.
Thanks for making this all work for me again.
I see that 2.6.9 has added (it seems) with-compilation-unit. That's
nice.
I do have a couple of items on my wishlist: an implementation of
ensure-directories-exist and a better directory function (that
doesn't just call ls).
