in ~/.local/share/applications/
create file gnome-commander-usercreated.desktop

#cat gnome-commander-usercreated.desktop
[Desktop Entry]

Name[ru_RU]=Файловый Менеджер gnome-commander

interface

and edit mimeinfo.cache

#tail -n 2 mimeinfo.cache 
x-directory/normal=gnome-commander-usercreated.desktop;pcmanfm.desktop;nautilus-folder-handler.desktop;
inode/directory=gnome-commander-usercreated.desktop;pcmanfm.desktop;nautilus-folder-handler.desktop;
