[gcmd-usr] Gnome-commander undur Ubuntu?Xubuntu

the latest version of gnome-commander is not available in the Ubuntu 
repositories.I tried downloading it and compiling it but there are too 
many dependencies for it to compile as some of the things it needs - 
like gtk+ do not seem to be in the Ubuntu repositories either.

also under Xubuntu 16.04 I seem to have lost the plugin that allows you to 
compare directories. The one comparing files still seems to work.

Does anyone know where I can find the latest stable version of 
gnome-commander compiled for Xubuntu.
