Dear Anne-Cecile,

If you do not apply any boundary condition to this surface, it will by definition be traction free. You do not need to do anything.

The correct condition mathematically is not "sigma = 0" but "sigma*Normal = [0;0,0]". But again you do not have to impose it.

Best regards
Kostas

Dear all

In a python script, I defined a boundary for a 3D tetra mesh

meshb.set_region(STRESSF_BOUND, fbss)

How do I impose a stress free on this surface sigma=0?

Thank you

Regards

Anne-Cecile
