It is set up as an plain old mail alias, not a mailing list.
But, please note that it wouldn't hurt for it were a mailman list, though,
because mailman has the ability to manage completely private lists that no
one else can subscribe to, nor even find out about.

I don't know the details---perhaps it was a mailman list at first then
switched a plain alias?
