Hello, I am currently trying to install gcc 2.95 from file gcc-2.95.tar.gz
and I am experiencing some strange behavior.  I ran the configure script,
which seemed to run fine.  It correctly identified the OS as Tru64 4.0f.  I
am running it on an Alpha Station 200 4/166.  I then ran make and it was
taking a long time, the better part of an hour, so I ran top to see what was
going on.  Here is what I got from top:

As you can see fixincl is eating up quite a bit of cpu.  Is this normal?
Basically, building gcc has brought this Alpha to its knees.  This is a
fresh install of UNIX and there haven't been any  problems until now.  If I
abort the install would there be any damage done to the header files in the
include directory?
