If you go into the category Audio -> CD-ripping
(http://www.gnu.org/directory/Audio/CD_ripping/) you see that there's an
entry rip:

"Rip - [GPL] - 2002-05-07
 Rips CD track to either MP3 or Ogg Vorbis files"

However, the link points to the entry for the backup system "Recovery Is
Possible":
