A couple of weeks ago I was notified that Mod_Survey had been added to the
directory. I was sent its record and asked if there were issues to correct
with in it. I answered with the below mail, but did not get any reply, and
the info in the directory is still erronous.
I guess there's a lot to do or that my mail was lost, so I'm sending the
mail again, but this time along with a diff containing the suggested
changes.

Subject: Re: Mod_Survey
Hallo,
most seems correct. However:
* The short description does not capture what mod_survey does. The
software *displays* survey files and then handles the data sent back. To
actually create the files you have to use a common text editor. I
suggest the short description "Displays and handles web questionnaires".
(The misunderstanding is my fault as the long description from
freshmeat is open for misinterpretation).
* With this change in mind, one might want to consider the consequences
for the keywords. As an example; is there a standard for the semantical
content of keywords like "Web site"? I don't think I would use this
keyword (nor some of the others) if I was looking for a web
questionnaire system.
* Not knowing if there is a limit in number of keywords, I would also
like to have the keywords "web questionnaire" and "online survey"
included.
* My name (and therefore my email address) is spelled PALMIUS, not
PALMUIS. This misspelling occurs in maintainer and developers fields.
* I don't recognize the email address "address@hidden" under
help-list. The correct address for posting (after subscription) is
"address@hidden". The subscription address is
correct though. Is there a purpose with including the posting address
at all? The users subscribing to the list will get a mail informing them
were to send their postings. Would it be sufficient to only include
the subscription address?
* The mail list is a combined help/dev/bug list, so it could possibly
be added under the dev-list and bug-list fields too.
* I don't understand the "supported-languages" field. The only
allowed input file format is XML files following the mod_survey DTD.
There are several output formats which include SQL and XML, but also
SPSS, HTML and a couple of others. Does this field mean supported input
and output file formats?
* Weak-prerequisites might be "DBI 1.13", which is necessary if one wants
the system to store submitted questionnaire results in a database.
I hope the above helps you, and will be available for further questions if
it does not.
