They won't be specific to FOSDEM or any other event.

One of the reasons for making new designs is that the old stuff has
been around for many many years.  For example, almost everyone has a
"dynamic duo" sticker somewhere.  They are not exciting anymore.

Another reason is to renew the image of GNU and try to make it more
popular.  For example, people usually don't realize how big GNU is:
more than 300 packages.  Would be nice to make a design expressing
that fact.  Maybe using the logos of the packages?
