Yesterday, brainstorming with Sylvain, I had come up with this:

To be written in a fixed-width "terminal" font, green over black.  A
blinking cursor in the end would be the only concession to animation --
and already a little distracting.

If you find the silhouette is difficult to recognize we can make the
left tower a photo (but it will have to be light over black), the right
one ASCII-art.

Just an idea.  I'm not particularly good at graphics, and I'm sure many
of you can come up with something better.
