Hello,
not sure if this list is still active, but I've noticed that gksu
redirects the stdout of the specified command to stderr. This is not
compatible to su behaviour I think. With kdesu, the flag -t enables
correct output, but I couldn't find a similar option for gksu.

I want to use gksu as a su frontend in a GUI for a library, and the "su
wrapper" used by the library should be exchangeable (so that console
users use su, and GUI users use gksu or kdesu). As my GUI already uses
Perl-Gtk it would be nicer to use gksu... Also kdesu has some
disadvantages to su (it buffers output on stdout and prints it all at
once when the command has finished).

It would be nice if you could help me with this. Please CC me as I'm not
on the list.

Thanks, Oliver Gerlich
