[Gluster-devel] Error messages in namespace vol

I have been getting lots of error messages in the server logs of the namespace 
volume of the form:

2008-05-15 20:26:08 E [posix.c:1984:posix_setdents] posix3: Error creating file 
/mnt/namespace/test/zoneinfo/posix/Indian/Chagos with mode (0100644)

for every file accessed by a client for the first time. There is no apparent 
effect on operations other than a slow down in performance.

This error was one of many caused by running:

cp -av /usr/share/zoneinfo /mnt/glusterfs/test/

The volume is mounted:
/dev/sda2 on /mnt type reiserfs (rw,acl,user_xattr)

a stat of the file in question from the server:
stat /mnt/namespace/test/zoneinfo/posix/Indian/Chagos

  Size: 0               Blocks: 0          IO Block: 131072 regular empty file

This is a unify only installation running patch-770

Any idea what could be causing this?
