Unfortunately the patch were not integrated at that time. I updated the
patchset for glusterfs-3.1.4 and it runs fine now. 

Here are the 20 patches, all with comments about the changes. There are a
few portability fixes that are not specific to NetBSD and will help port
to other systems.

It would be nice if these patches could get their way upstream in
glusterfs tree.
