It enables Samba to connect via libgfapi to Gluster volumes, thus giving SMB clients a way of easily connecting to GlusterFS.

Thanks. So this means it's stable.
Any pointers to docs showing how to use the new feature? It's not very clear (to me) what this thing actually is supposed to do.
I was mistakenly thinking it enables a feature similar to the NFS server, but with CIFS instead.
