Greetings, Gaius.
Having built mc without incident, that is, no changes needed, I am now
translating the libraries.
One problem that has surfaced is the following: m2/gm2-libs/SYSTEM.mod
will not translate because there is no SHIFT.
Parse implementation module
Pass 5: [implementation module] build code tree for all procedures and
module initialisations
Module SYSTEM : ../gm2-libs/SYSTEM.mod
../gm2-libs/SYSTEM.mod:118: error: the symbol 'SHIFT' is not visible in
this scope (or any other nested scope) (pos: 10)
Said module states that the compiler will inline SHIFT() if the argument
fits into a word but mc does not recognise SHIFT().
Short of explicitly adding shifts inside SYSTEM.mod, is there something
that can be done?
Sincerely,
john
