Did that. I got some more .so files and Gnash runs loading extenstion.
However, this doesn't fix the problem, attachInterface() is still
called again and again and again...
I *don't* think this is related to linking anymore as the FileIO
extension *does* work - it just re-initialises itself continously as
it seems.
So I guess it's a bug in the C++ code.
