Same here building CVS on Fedora Core 4 just now. Found various posts online about similar problems, like http://sourceware.org/ml/binutils/2005-04/msg00654.htmlCompiling gnash gets a lot further if I use ./configure --with-pic , and remove -fvisibility-inlines-hidden from the CXXFLAGS
