I plugged in the following hardware: 0000:07:00.0 Ethernet controller: Marvell Technology Group Ltd. Marvell W8300 802.11 Adapter (rev 07) ...and noted the following in dmesg: [17200527.868000] mrv8k: Firmware 'mrv8k-b.fw' not available or load failed. Should I write a patch to remove this driver from the kernel package? If it demands firmware I can't see what good it does to package it. Just bloat. -- "Cut your own wood and it will warm you twice"
