[gNewSense-users] release cycle?

Just joined the group and was wondering if the release cycle was 6
month or a year. What i have found awkward is that *buntu can miss an
update and then it is 6 months before it is included. Updates i
understand only relate to security... whereas a distro released
annually would allow for 'glitch updates'.
