I think the current home page of is very clean, easy to the eye. I like websites that are easy to navigate for the less experienced people and I think the current home page serves that purpose very well.

However, what I don't like about the current website is that after you click on the buttons in the main page, you're taken to a different world: the wiki. And I think is the wiki what should be reorganized, at least the links in the navigation bar, as ben suggested in the mailing list:

Graziano, I have some suggestions for your draft:

1. I'd put the search field in a different position, not in the same division as the the navigation links, because it won't look nice in 800x600  screens:

see the screenshot:
In my country, Colombia, lots of people have screens with this resolution.

2. I'd change the color for visited links in the navigation bar. I think this is what Sam was talking about:
see the screenshot in (1) again
3. I agree with Sam about the download link. It should give some information before downloading.

And finally, glad to hear your working to improve the website! keep it up!

Got it.

You are talking about "tabs menu", not button.
Now I understand.

I can create that if the list want.

Personally I think it's "old style" design and it is not so fresh anymore.

If you think a good design should implement the "section highlighting"
to show the user in which precise section he/she is at the moment, I can
do it.

Anyway I don't vote for it, personally.

Thanks a lot for the feedback.
