I was in IRC just now, and here is a summary of the Savannah Admins' concerns.

Could you add them to the BTS overview [1]?

1) it's centered on a unique VCS

We were going to use bzr anyway. I suspect there will be more VCS support in the future.

2) it has a different (but more flexible) user/groups models that is
not easy to migrate to and

Pmwiki has only basic users support and (AFAIK) no groups. Worst case scenario is that everyone has to recreate a user account. No biggie.

3) it's still in early stage, maybe it will be cleaned-up later but
right now it's a bit messy (ubuntu 8 only, etc.)

This is probably true, although I think there's a lot of interest and this will improve rapidly.

4) Savannah may be integrating with Pootle instead of Rosetta.

Translation tools are more interesting for upstream projects than for distros.

5) Usability is not that great.

I haven't used both much, but my experiences so far have been better with LP than with Savannah.

I'm not saying that one is better than the other. It's just that the Savannah point of view is not necessarily the gNS point of view.
